The Ash Tree, 10.00pm, BBC Four

Adaptation of the classic ghost story. An aristocrat takes up his inheritance, but is disturbed by dreams of a curse supposedly placed on his ancestor by a dying witch.

When the animals on the estate begin to die, he suspects the enchantment may be all too real. Starring Edward Petherbridge and Lalla Ward.

Guy's Garage, 9.00pm, Channel 4

Guy Martin (above) plans to create a racing version of a Piaggio Ape - the tiny three-wheeled vehicles that are ubiquitous across Italy.

If you’ve never seen one, they’re basically a three-wheeled motorbike hidden in the shell of a small truck.

While these vehicles were never designed with motorsport in mind, he discovers a racing scene based around them has sprung up in Italy, with drivers customising their Apes with motorcycle engines and improved suspension.

Along for the Ride with David O'Doherty, 10.00pm, Channel 4

David is this week joined by artist and former mountain bike racer Grayson Perry (above), as they take to the Brecon Beacons, to enjoy the stunning views and tackle the challenging hills.

During the two-day trip, they bond over Grayson's career, childhood tales and his disdain for nature, and attempt to conquer a gruelling five-mile climb while deeply hungover.
