The full trailer for Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence's highly-anticipated new film Don't Look Up has been released and it sees the pair race against time to prevent a massive comet colliding with Earth.

The satirical drama, which was written and directed by Oscar-winner Adam McKay, features a host of Hollywood's biggest stars.

As well as DiCaprio and Lawrence, the cast also includes Meryl Streep, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Mark Rylance, Rob Morgan, Tyler Perry and Timothée Chalamet.

Don't Look Up follows astronomy grad student Kate Dibiasky (Lawrence) and her professor Dr. Randall Mindy (DiCaprio) who make the shocking discovery that a comet is on a direct collision course with Earth.

The problem is, no one really seems to care. They embark on a media tour that takes them from the office of an indifferent President Orlean (Meryl Streep) and her sycophantic son and Chief of Staff, Jason (Jonah Hill), to the airwaves of The Daily Rip, an upbeat morning show hosted by Brie (Cate Blanchett) and Jack (Tyler Perry).

The film is released in Irish cinemas on December 10 and debuts on Netflix on December 24.
