Living With Lucy, 9.00pm, Virgin Media One
For the final episode of this run, Lucy Kennedy moves into the city centre dwelling of Rory O’Neill AKA Panti Bliss.
Panti has been an icon of the Irish gay scene since the mid 90’s but she rose to true acclaim in 2014 during her famous noble call speech in the Abbey theatre.
It was this largely unrehearsed speech that reached a national and worldwide audience.
It also started a national conversation about LGBTI+ rights in Ireland, and was a major factor in the holding of the Marriage Equality Referendum in May 2015, where Panti became one of the key figures in the Yes Campaign.
