The cast of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia haven't spared the shillelaghs and pots of gold in the poster for the new season of the long-running sitcom.
In new promotional material for the decidedly Irish American comedy, a cartoon of the cast sees them sporting red hair, freckles, and emerald green clothes, while Danny DeVito really goes full Irish and is dressed as a leprechaun.
The cast of the show, Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day), Glenn Howerton, Kaitlin Olson) and DeVito, visited Ireland to shoot episodes of the new season during the summer.
In September Olson and McElhenney posted shots of "The Gang" in Ireland on Insagram a month after MovieExtras.ie posted an "urgent" casting call for a "Danny DeVito double" ahead of the show filming in Dublin.
The record-breaking fifteenth season 15 of the series will premiere on FXX on December 1, with streaming available on FX+ and Hulu the next day.
The pandemic meant that there was a long break between season 14 and 15 and the new season was only completed in October.
According to the official synopsis for the new season, "This is a season that sees The Gang try to exploit pandemic aid, sidestep cancel culture, evade criminal justice, reflect on their origins, and reconcile their identities and homeland roots."
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, which began airing on FX in the US in 2005, follows "The Gang" and their exploits in their unsuccessful Irish bar Paddy’s Pub in South Philadelphia.
