Tom Parker has said he is "over the moon" to learn that his brain tumour is now "under control" as he thanked fans for their "love and support over the last 12 months".

The Wanted singer revealed in October 2020 that he had been diagnosed with an inoperable and terminal tumour.

At the start of this year, Parker revealed that there had been a "significant reduction" in the size of his tumour.

This week the 33-year-old star shared his latest health update with his followers on Instagram, alongside a picture with his wife Kelsey and children Aurelia and Bo.

"I'm sat here with tears in my eyes. We've got my brain tumour under control," he said.

"Such a mix of emotions. We couldn't ask for any more really at this point."

Although the tumour is "stable" it does not mean Parker is now cancer-free as he previously explained: "It's stage four glioblastoma and they've said it's terminal."

The Wanted formed in 2009, with Parker, Max George, Siva Kaneswaran, Nathan Sykes and Jay McGuiness.
