Ed Sheeran has told the Tracy Clifford Show on RTÉ 2FM that his friend and fellow tape trader Eminem is now the proud owner of Van Morrison and The Chieftains' classic 1988 album Irish Heartbeat.
Sheeran joined the show on the day his new album = was released, telling the host how his friendship with Eminem has deepened through their love of music.
"I've started collecting cassettes again," Sheeran explained. "And there's only one person in the world that I know that collects cassettes and that's Eminem. At his studio, he's just got loads.

"And so, we've started this, like, pen pal scheme of cassettes together. He sent me LL Cool J's [I'm] Bad [from the 1987 album Bigger and Deffer] the other day and was just like, 'This is the thing that gets [got] me into rapping'.
"And I managed to get Van Morrison and The Chieftains and send it to him, so he's now got Irish Heartbeat on cassette in Detroit."
