The band, who won acclaim for their self-released debut album In Waiting last year, returned to their Dublin city practice space last May to begin writing their next record and signed a worldwide deal with Toronto's Royal Mountain Records.
Since forming in Dublin in late 2016, Pillow Queens, who hail from Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow, have had a rapid rise, from sharing stages with the likes of IDLES, Soak, and Pussy Riot, to their own sold-out shows.
Pillow Queens dreams a little dream on debut album
In Waiting was recorded in the winter of 2019 in rural Co. Donegal with award-winning producer Tommy Mclaughlin (Soak/Hannah Peel).
The album was later nominated for Ireland's prestigious Choice album of the year award.
It gained Album of the Day and A-list play on BBC 6 Music and drew praise and support from the likes of NPR’s prestigious show All Songs Considered and KEXPs Song of the Day.
The band, which features Pamela Connolly, Sarah Corcoran, Rachel Lyons, and Cathy McGuinness, also made their US late night television debut on CBS’s The Late Late Show with James Corden and signed with Sub Pop Publishing.
Pillow Queens have also announced their debut headline tour of North America.
