Tyrone actor Fra Fee to star in Disney+ Marvel series Hawkeye

Northern Irish actor, Fra Fee is set to star in Disney+ Marvel series Hawkeye, which will be released at the end of November.

Hawkeye, which takes place after the events of the film Avengers: Endgame, features 19 Avengers characters and takes a deep dive into the titular character, a talented archer known as Clint Burton, played by Jeremy Renner.

Set during the Christmas period, Hawkeye decides he would like to retire and pass on his role to Kate Bishop, who is played by Hailee Steinfeld.

Les Miserables actor Fee plays a Polish villain named Kazi, a brutal mercenary also known as The Clown, who reunites with Hawkeye after a bad previous encounter.

The Dungannon actor, whose real name is Francis Martin, is well known as a stage actor in Ireland with appearances at The Gate, Bord Gáis and Gaiety, London theatres and across the West End in musicals.

On screen, the 34-year-old is best known for having played Courfeyrac in the 2012 adaption of Les Miserables and in Animals and Boys From The County Hell.

When first cast in the role, an excited Fra Fee tweeted: "Outrageously excited to be bringing this legend to life in @marvelstudios #Hawkeye for @disneyplus ... I'm the first person in line to see these movies at the cinema so suffice to say I’m pretty much freaking out..! folks - say hello to this absolute DUDE - Kazi!

Hawkeye will be available to stream on November 24 on Disney+.
