Colm Meaney will star in the lead role in a black comedy about a crew of trawlermen who are unfairly laid off and decide to carry out the heist of the century in their hometown of Grimsby in England.
Three Day Millionaire will see The Snapper and Star Trek: The Next Generation actor joined by Robbie Gee from Snatch and Small Axe, Jonas Armstrong from The Bay, Melissa Batchelor of I May Destroy You, and James Burrows and Sam Glen from Coronation Street.
Filming has already begun on Three Day Millionaire and it is due to be released in 2022. Finglas man Meaney also has four other projects on the way, including religious thriller Confession and a horror film called Unwelcome with Jamie-Lee O'Donnell of Derry Girls.
Earlier this year, Meaney appeared in Back to Barrytown on RTÉ One, which saw the stars of The Snapper, The Van, and The Commitments remember their time working on the much-loved film adaptations of Roddy Doyle's Barrytown trilogy.
