There's a new - and quite unique - murder mystery show created by Ian Rankin called Murder Island, The Great British Bake off continues, while it’s the end of the road for both Silent Witness and The Equalizer . . .
Pick of the Day
Murder Island, 9.00pm, Channel 4
Created by leading Scottish crime writer Ian Rankin, this new show is certainly worth a look.
It’s a murder mystery with a twist - the investigators are members of the UK public, competing to find the killer and pocket themselves a very handy £50,000.
The story unfolds as the body of Charly Hendricks has been found at an old run-down property she was renting from the local pub landlord.
Now it's up to four pairs of amateur sleuths to search the scene and unpick the clues, hoping to find a motive for the crime.
And fill their pockets with a nice cash prize . . .
Don’t Miss
The Great British Bake Off, 8.00pm, Channel 4
Matt Lucas and Noel Fielding present once again as the amateurs demonstrate their bread-baking skills.
They’ll be putting their own twist on a classic Italian focaccia in the signature challenge and making a Greek-inspired snack in the technical.
On day two, judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith task them with creating an artistic showpiece rendering decorative designs in milk bread.
One Foot in the Grave, 8.30pm, BBC Four
Another one of the great BBC sitcoms, here’s the first-ever episode where the brilliant Richard Wilson (below) plays the constantly beleaguered Victor Meldrew.
First up, Meldrew finds himself forced into early retirement, but is determined not to end up on the scrapheap, pouring scorn on the modern world and driving everybody crazy in the process.
The great Annette Crosbie, of course, plays his long-suffering wife Margaret.
Unforgotten, 10.15pm, RTÉ One
Anyone who watched last week’s episode will know what happened – so we’ll just leave it at that.
Despite a tragic turn of events, Sunny and the team narrow down the suspects.
Will they find conclusive proof of who the murder weapon belonged and succeed in bringing Walsh's killer to justice?

Jimmy McGovern's drama imagines what life may have held for Anthony if the teenager had not been killed.
The reverse chronology sees him realise his dreams and enjoy the life he had a right to before fate - and hate - took it all away. Toheeb Jimoh stars as Walker.
If you missed this drama when it was originally broadcast on BBC One, do yourself a proverbial favour and make sure you give it a look. It's both heartbreaking and beautiful.
