The teaser trailer for writer-director Joel Coen's The Tragedy of Macbeth has been released, with Brendan Gleeson starring opposite Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand.
The film is billed as a "bold and fierce adaptation" of the William Shakespeare play, "a tale of murder, madness, ambition, and wrathful cunning".
Washington plays Lord Macbeth, McDormand is Lady Macbeth, and Gleeson is King Duncan.
The Tragedy of Macbeth will premiere in selected cinemas over the winter before arriving on Apple TV+ globally on 14 January, 2022.
