Wowee zowee! Pavement announce Dublin show for 2022

Acclaimed US alternative band Pavement have announced a show at Vicar Street in Dublin for November 10 next year.

The band, which features Stephen Malkmus, Scott "Spiral Stairs" Kannberg, Mark Ibold, Bob Nastanovich and Steve West, released five era-defining albums - Slanted And Enchanted (1992), Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain (1994), Wowee Zowee (1995), Brighten The Corners (1997) and Terror Twilight (1999) - before disbanding in 1999.

Pavement's 2010 reunion saw them play four sold-out benefit shows in Central Park and top the bills of worldwide festivals including Coachella, Reading and Leeds, Primavera Sound and Pitchfork Festival.

Tickets for Pavement in Vicar Street are priced from €49.50 and go on sale on Friday, September 10 at 10:00am, with a six-ticket limit per purchase.

Other gigs scheduled for Ireland in the coming months include The Blades' first Dublin show in two years.

The Dublin band, who were tipped for huge success in the eighties, will play The Academy on December 12, with tickets on sale this Friday, September 10 at 9.00pm, priced at €30 including booking fee.

Speaking about the upcoming show, Blades' songwriter and frontman Paul Cleary said, ''We can't wait to play again after a long two-year absence, we're determined to make this one of our best ever shows, it's the least our supporters deserve.''

The High Kings have announced The Home From Home Tour, which will see them play shows across Ireland from this December to next February.

Dublin band MELTS will be live at The Button Factory in Dublin this December 16, with tickets priced at €15.00 available from Singularartists.ie from Friday, 10th September at 9.00am.

Tickets to the band's previous two socially distanced sold-out shows are valid for the December show. This show is a fully capacity standing show.

Irish "intersectional feminist post-punk band" M(h)aol have announced a headline show for The Workman's Club in Dublin on Friday, November 12, 2021.

Tickets €10.00 plus booking fee and service charges are available from Singularartists.ie from Thursday at 10.00am.

The band, who hail from Dublin and Cork, are made up of Róisín Nic Ghearailt on vocals, Constance Keane on drums, Jamie Hyland on bass, Zoe Greenway on bass, and Sean Nolan on guitar, and "create urgent and immersive sounds that question our past, present, and future".
