European Qualifiers World Cup 2022, 7.00pm, RTÉ2

The coverage of the World Cup qualifiers resumes after the break for the Euros with this Group A game from Estadio Algarve, where Portugal host Ireland (Kick-off 7.45pm).

It’s a stern test for Stephen Kenny’s young side as Cristiano Ronaldo (below) seeks a record 110th international goal for the opposition.

Although Portugal relinquished their European crown at Euro 2020, they remain formidable opposition and have seven points from their first three matches in the group.

Ireland will aim to cause a major upset after losing their opening two group games away to Serbia and at home against Luxembourg.

Peter Collins presents, with analysis from Liam Brady and Didi Hamann. Commentary is by Darragh Maloney and Ronnie Whelan, and Tony O'Donoghue reports from pitchside.

Season two of the cop dramedy begins with a double-bill as Stephen Graham and Daniel Mays reunite as DI Carver and his AI-driven partner DI Major.

Having cracked The Juggler case with his long-suffering partner, the resurrected DI Major has finally reached his potential as the top cop in the SIU.

But it came at a price. Finally realising that his best friend had shacked up with his wife while he was "away" (and a bit before), their partnership is over and the pair go their own ways.
