Singer and radio presenter Nicky Byrne has revealed that Westlife's 12th album is now recorded despite the challenges of working remotely.

The band, which also includes Shane Filan, Markus Feehily, Kian Egan, all recorded separately from home.

Speaking on social media, the singer discussed the challenges that arose recording an album from each band member's home.

"Recording our new album individually - and remotely from our homes has been one hell of an experience!

"Dogs Barking, doorbell going, WiFi dropping out to mention just a few 🤷‍♂️ but we got there in the end!

"Now fully recorded, it's currently in the oven and cooking time is approx 2/3 months.

"We may open the oven door at some point to sample our brand spanking new single as a starter…😉🙏in the meantime trust me - it's starting to smell Devine! (sic)."

@westlifeFor now our working title shall be..#BangersNSmash🔥" He added.

Westlife announced in February that they had parted ways with EMI Records "by mutual consent."

The group took to Twitter on St Patrick's Day to share the news with their fans that they had signed a new record to the EastWest Records, which is owned and distributed by Warner Music.

Sharing photos of themselves raising a glass to toast the news, they posted, "We've got some big news for you today!

A follow-up tweet reads: "We have found a record label that share the same energy and high ambitions as the four of us, in what will be a very busy year, where there will be some surprise announcements and of course new music!"
