Christy's Life on the Road, 9.35pm, RTÉ One
A look back at folk singer-songwriter and guitarist Christy Moore's life and career, examining his solo work and his time with Planxty and Moving Hearts.
The documentary also offers a unique insight into Christy Moore’s protected backstage world, where he immerses himself in the music each time before going onstage.
The film features Moore’s five favourite venues, including the Marquee in Cork, and what he refers to as his 'headquarters’ in Lisdoonvarna.
There are also intimate interviews with his band and members of his road crew who have been with him for many years.
The film is full of rare backstage footage and raw energy in the build-ups to Moore’s gigs. It will give viewers a new perspective on one of our most treasured performers.

Anglesey farmer Huw Lewis bought a small painting depicting the Last Supper for £50 on the internet.
After some online research, he thought it may have been painted by 18th-century artist Benjamin West, whose biggest fan was King George III.
Fiona Bruce (above) and Philip Mould set out to investigate, but soon discover the picture is in a worrying condition - and with the challenge of doing research in the middle of lockdown, the odds are stacked against them.

He explores the huge price tags for some puppies and what draws people to popular breeds, unpacking some of the hereditary health and welfare issues the breeds face.
He also introduces prospective owners to the RSPCA so they can learn the best practice when buying a new puppy, and hears from owners about their experiences of breeding their own dogs.
