Eamonn Holmes has announced that he has become a grandfather on This Morning.
The presenter revealed that his eldest son Declan and his wife Jenny had welcomed a baby girl on Tuesday's show alongside wife and co-host Ruth Langsford.
At the start of the ITV show, he said: "Some things have changed since I last saw you yesterday, and that is..."
Langsford interjected: "You're a granddad."
Holmes then shared more details on the new addition to their family.
"My son Declan and his wife Jenny are the happy couple. Jenny gave birth to Amelia, who is 7lbs 6oz", he said.
The TV presenter went on to say that he'd like to be called 'Papa' by his first grandchild.
He said: "It surprises people, because they look at me and think, 'He's too young to be a grandfather.'
"I've got people getting in touch with me about glamorous grandfather competitions and all sorts of things like that. But no, my friend Bill has anointed himself Papa and I like it.
"It's like the Pope. There's an infallibility that goes with it. So I'd quite like my grandchildren to call me Papa. That would be nice."
Langsford added: "Congratulations, Declan and Jenny. We're very, very excited and can't wait to meet her."
Declan is Eamonn's son from his previous marriage to Gabrielle Holmes. They also share daughter Rebecca and son Niall.
The couple split in 1994, and he welcomed son Jack with Ruth in 2002. Eamonn and Ruth went on to marry in 2010.
