The transmission time of EastEnders on RTÉ will be unaffected by the BBC's new 9.00pm time slot for the show during their coverage of the Olympics.
The BBC will release all four EastEnders episodes weekly on Mondays on their iPlayer during the Olympics, meaning RTÉ will be a little behind at the start of the week.
As a result, EastEnders will play in its regular slots on RTÉ One throughout the Olympics, similar to the arrangement during Euro 2020.
The Olympics, which is being held in Tokyo, Japan, begins on Friday. July 23, and normal BBC programming will be rescheduled over the fortnight of games, with the soap set to air at 9.00pm from Monday 26th July on BBC One.
Speaking about the decision to keep early access to episodes online, executive producer Jon Sen said: "We're so glad that the audience has enjoyed getting ahead of the game - keeping up with Albert Square on iPlayer whilst enjoying the Euros, so we're carrying on releasing the week's episodes on Monday throughout Tokyo 2020.
"There's enough happening in Walford this summer to keep everyone on the edge of their seats and we're thrilled audiences won't need to miss out on anything."
EastEnders airs on RTÉ One and BBC One on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
