Bruce Springsteen's daughter, Jessica, will compete at the Olympic Games in Tokyo next month as part of the US equestrian team.

29-year-old Jessica Springsteen has been named as part of the US Olympic show jumping team, along with her horse Don Juan van de Donkhoeve, the US Equestrian Federation has announced.

Speaking to People.com Jessica previously said: "I started riding when I was really little. My mom had always wanted to ride so when we moved to New Jersey she started taking lessons.

"Our home is right across the road from one of the top junior training barns – and I went right into that when I was a teenager."

"I started competing and doing the jumpers, then I turned professional. It all really happened pretty naturally."

The Irish equestrian team is made up of Cathal Daniels, Sarah Ennis and Sam Watson who will compete in Eventing while Bertram Allen, Darragh Kenny and Cian O'Connor are set to compete in the Showjumping. Heike Holstein will compete in Dressage.
