The building used to film exterior shots of Home and Away's diner and Alf Stewart’s bait house is set to be demolished.
The Boathouse Palm Beach in Sydney, Australia has posed as the iconic locations for over a decade.
It has been reported that plans have been submitted to the Northern Beaches Council for approval of a like-for-like rebuild that would take approximately six months and cost in the region of $4million.
The building’s tenant Andrew Goldsmith said: "Home and Away may have to do some pre-recording."
"Or write something dramatic into the script to explain away the lack of a bait shop... perhaps there could be some sort of explosion," he added to Manly Daily.
