Tell us three things about yourself?

Corbo: I'm launching a debut single, moving to a new house, and going camping all in the same week. Adam is clearly the timekeeper.

Adam: I can confirm - I am good with a watch ;)

How would you describe your music?

Corbo: Writing music has always been a form of catharsis for us and we aim to be as true to ourselves as we can, whether it be lyrics or music production. For our first single and EP, we actually used very little references. It was interesting to see what came out - a fusion of indie, electronic, pop, and alternative, but slightly dark. When you listen to us, what you’ll hear is a blend of the musical gear and instruments we immersed ourselves in, mixed with how we were feeling at the time.

Who are your musical inspirations?

Corbo: I’m usually quite open-minded when it comes to musical genres - inspiration can come from anywhere if it’s a well written and produced track. The bands I always find myself going back to are Wild Beasts, Tame Impala, Radiohead, Local Natives, NIN, and Jaguar Ma.

Adam: My inspirations are Kate Bush, Matthew Good, Joni Mitchell, Trent Reznor, and Depeche Mode.

What are you most looking forward to post-lockdown?

Adam: We've been planning our band's launch for over a year now - so with the release of our first song being Friday, June 4 we are really excited to play gigs!

Corbo: Yeah finally, being able to gig again. Also being able to go to the gym in advance of said gig, it gets hot up there.

What’s your favourite song right now?

Adam: All I Need by Radiohead - Corbo intro'd me to this album and this song immediately stood out to me - I just love everything about it from the lyrics to the vocal approach Thom Yorke takes, the music has a way of just surrounding you.

Corbo: Nuit Magique by Catherine Lara and Bijou. My algorithm seems to have been hijacked by French 80’s synth music. I’m not complaining.

Favourite lyric of all time?

Adam: "One day you will wake up and there'll be advertising on police cars" - Matthew Good

Corbo: Hard to pick just one - the first that comes to my head is 'love will tear us apart again’. It’s such a well written and executed song. Ian Curtis’ delivery brings me to a weird melancholic place that’s hard to describe but all so familiar. When you’ve been there, you’ve been there.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Adam: For me, this is an easy one - Kate Bush - Running Up That Hill. This song is completely timeless, and I never stop hearing new things in it. This song is exciting, and I will never not love it. This or Dreams by Fleetwood Mac. Ok I guess it's not as easy to pick one song as I thought!

Corbo: Wild Beasts - Mecca. I’ve listened to that whole album (Present Tense) on repeat since it came out and I’m still finding new sides to it.
