Kildare comedian and actor Aisling Bea is set to make her debut on BBC satirical show Have I Got News For You later this month - as the host of the final episode of the current season.
37-year-old Bea, who has starred in TV series Trollied and Living With Yourself, shared the news on her social media accounts, saying, "The news I have for you is this, so it'll be a short show."
The season finale of HIGNFY airs on June 4th on BBC One and guests will include comedian Roisin Conaty and BBC newsreader and new host of Mastermind host, Clive Myrie.
A socially distanced studio audience will be allowed in studio for future recordings of the series from this week.
Bafta-winning Bea has appeared regularly on UK panel shows and has written and starred in This Way Up for Channel 4. She is also set to star in the upcoming remake of Home Alone.
