The line-up for ITV's new summer show Cooking with the Stars has been announced, with Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas, presenter Denise Van Outen and actor Griff Rhys Jones among those joining hosts Emma Willis and Tom Allen.

Coronation Street star Catherine Tyldesley, comedian and actor Johnny Vegas, McFly drummer Harry Judd, TV presenter AJ Odudu and record producer Naughty Boy complete the line-up.

The new competition sees the celebrity contestants paired with accomplished chefs as they try to become restaurant-standard cooks.

"Their mentor chefs then become judges, rating the other celebrity cooks, with the bottom two at risk of leaving the competition," says ITV of the show.

Among the mentors are TV favourite Rosemary Shrager, food writer Nisha Katona and This Morning guest chef Joseph Denison Carey.

A broadcast date for Cooking with the Stars has yet to be announced.
