Jesse Williams, who plays Jackson Avery in Grey's Anatomy has said he is leaving the show at the end of Season 17.

The actor has been on the TV series for 12 years after joining in season 6.
In his final episode, set to air at the end of May in the US Jackson is faced with the decision of taking over the family foundation.
Williams spoke to People Magazine about his decision to leave the show: "I will forever be grateful for the boundless opportunities provided me by Shonda, the network, studio, fellow cast mates, our incredible crew, Krista, Ellen and Debbie.
