Tonight's top TV includes the return of The Handmaid’s Tale, PJ Gallagher’s back with The Big DIY Challenge, there’s more Frank of Ireland, and some Orson Welles magic . . .
Pick of the Day
The Handmaid’s Tale, 10.30pm, RTÉ2
Back for a fourth season, how will viewers view this dystopian tale at this stage of the pandemic?
This season also looks like being the bleakest yet, with rape, torture and murder once again vying for the title of Gilead’s most popular pastime. It's never been an easy watch.

As the latest run begins, June (Elizabeth Moss) and the fugitive Handmaids find refuge on a farm. Meanwhile, back in Gilead, an imprisoned Lawrence tries to avoid a death sentence.
As for the ongoing bad guys, Aunt Lydia and the Waterfords also feature.
Don’t Miss
Citizen Kane, 8.00pm, BBC Four
Still the greatest film ever made. It’s not even worthy of a debate as far as I’m concerned. On every level, Citizen Kane is a masterpiece.
Frequently voted one of the best films ever made, Orson Welles's debut tells the story of fictional newspaper magnate Charles Foster Kane in a series of flashbacks.

A reporter is intrigued by the dying Kane's last word - 'Rosebud' - and sets out to find a new angle on the life of one of the most powerful men in America.
Followed by The Eyes of Orson Welles at 10pm, where Mark Cousins examines Welles through his fine art endeavours (ie: the other kind of pictures) to shine new light on the passions, politics and imagination of this 20th-century genius.
Frank of Ireland, 10.00pm, Channel 4
More Malahide-based madness from Brian and Domhnall Gleeson.
This week the Community Centre is hosting an am-dram performance of Twelve Angry Women: The Musical - an all-female take on the classic movie.

When Frank discovers that Padraig has recruited Doofus to write the songs, he's determined to share the limelight. And only if he can't have it all to himself.
But with opening night approaching, Frank's songs aren't getting the positive response he'd hoped for. What's he going to do?
Finding Alice, 10.15pm, RTÉ One
It’s the penultimate episode of the quirky drama tinged with dark comedy, starring Keeley Hawes.
Alice decides to reject Tanvi's offer - Harry would have wanted Alice to develop the land herself with the support of their family.
But it's not long before the land project is overshadowed, as Nicola blurts out that Alice is also hoping to try for Harry's baby using the sperm that he mysteriously stored before he died.
Taskmaster, 9.00pm, Channel 4
There are just three episodes left in the current run, and Sarah Kendall still leads the race to win Greg Davies' head sprayed with gold paint (ie: the Taskmaster trophy).
But the chasing pack are closing in, hoping beyond hope to score points by creatively munching on snacks (Charlotte Ritchie), drawing pretty wings (Jamali Maddix) and being brutally honest about emergency plane landings (Lee Mack).
Other Voices, 11.35pm, RTÉ2
Some of the most exciting moments from Courage, featuring inspiring performances from Lisa Hannigan, Denise Chaila, Lankum (above) and more, all filmed in some of Ireland's most iconic cultural locations.
New or Returning Shows
The Big DIY Challenge, 8.30pm, RTÉ2
PJ Gallagher (above, centre) returns for a second season with the show in which DIY enthusiasts from across Ireland take on projects for the chance to win a jackpot of €10,000.
In the first episode, Nikki in Tipperary has big dreams of showcasing her wedding dress in her new purpose-built walk-in wardrobe, while Michael in Galway is building a tubular skate park for his son Darragh.
Ian Wright’s Home Truths, 9.00pm, BBC One
The footballer-turned-broadcaster investigates what effect growing up in a psychologically abusive and violent home has on children in the UK.
He meets with social workers to find out how they are supporting and protecting youngsters living in at-risk households during Covid-19 as well as adults and young people who have been affected by domestic abuse.

Last Tango in Halifax, 11.10pm, RTÉ One
Blimey. Sally Wainwright's grey-haired drama, starring Derek Jacobi, Anne Reid, Sarah Lancashire, Nicola Walker, Tony Gardner and Dean Andrews, is up to season five, without ever drawing much attention to itself.
As the story resumes, Alan and Celia are not seeing eye to eye seven years into their marriage, while tempers fray at Caroline and Gillian's joint birthday when Celia can't hold her tongue.
