Michael B Jordan has said starring in the big screen adaptation of Tom Clancy's 1993 novel Without Remorse, directed by Stefano Sollima, is a dream come true.
Speaking to PA, the 34-year-old said he loved watching high-octane movies as a kid and admits his current role is a perfect fit for him.
"I'm a little play fiend, a little action junkie," he said about his part in the Amazon Prime movie. "So as a kid, these are the movies that I watched, that I always wanted to be in one day.
"So the fact that I actually had opportunity to train and do the majority of my stunts, and had an incredible stunt team that allowed us to train at high intensity, so when we were able to show up on the day, able to do the things that we needed to do, it was fun.
"We got banged up throughout the process but it was so worth it."
When asked how he prepared for the intense underwater action, he said: "We hooked up with some military divers, and we spent time in the tanks where they put us under stressful situations where we would have to problem solve, work through malfunctions and gear failure.
"But I’m a water baby, I love being in a water. And honestly, if you’re calm and you’re sitting still, you can hold your breath for a lot longer."
Tom Clancy's Without Remorse is available on Amazon Prime Video from April 30.
