Oscars reveal 15 guest presenters for the big night

The organisers of this month's Academy Awards have revealed a cast of 15 stars who will host and present the winners with their Oscars at the "awards-show-as-a-movie".

Last year's acting winners Joaquin Phoenix, Renée Zellweger, Brad Pitt and Laura Dern will be joined by the 2020 Best Director winner, Parasite's Bong Joon-Ho.

Angela Bassett, Halle Berry, Don Cheadle, Bryan Cranston, Harrison Ford, Regina King, Marlee Matlin, Rita Moreno, Reese Witherspoon and Zendaya have also signed up for the show .

More names will be announced before the big night, Sunday, 25 April.

"In keeping with our awards-show-as-a-movie approach, we've assembled a truly stellar cast of stars," said producers Jesse Collins, Stacey Sher and Steven Soderbergh. "There's so much wattage here, sunglasses may be required."
