Tell us three things about yourself?

We’re from Galway. We all met in school. We needed something for our music practical so we decided why not make a band?! Fiachra always played traditional Irish music growing up and can play the flute, tin whistle and bodhrán!

How would you describe your music?

Something new mixed with something old. We make music that you can listen to with your parents, and if you come to a gig with them, they’ll probably enjoy it more than you!

Who are your musical inspirations?

The Cure, Pixies; a lot of stuff our parents would’ve listened to at our age, and also new stuff like Clairo and Beach House.

How are you occupying yourself during the coronavirus lockdown?

Playing music, luckily! We’re all in our own bubble so we can still write, practice, and record together. We’re working on some new stuff, and because of all the free time we’ve had, we already have another EP written! Then also practicing for when we can get back gigging!

What’s your favourite song right now?

Julie: Corner - Tin Can Kate.

Áindle: I Kicked A Boy - The Sundays.

Fiachra: Sarah - Thin Lizzy.

Sean: Oh It Hurts - Tebi Rex.

Favourite lyric of all time?

Julie: "You’re the chocolate at the end of my cornetto" - Bell X1 - The Great Defector.

Áindle: "Time is on the metre, go clean your act up in the cleaners, chicken head, give me some of your chicken fajitas" - Busta Rhymes - Abandon Ship (I like that Busta Rhymes managed to rhyme cleaners and fajitas and make it somehow sound so right).

Fiachra: "If it’s a million to one shot, I’ll make sure I’m one" - I Fall To Pieces - Razorlight.

Sean: "Somebody told the stars you’re not coming out tonight and so they found a place to hide" - Black Treacle - Arctic Monkeys.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Julie: This Must Be The Place - Talking Heads.

Áindle: Five String Serenade - Mazzy Star.

Fiachra: American Boy - Estelle feat. Kanye West.

Sean: Sweet FA - Peach Pit.
