Pop twins Jedward, renowned for their truly outstanding quiffs, shaved their heads live on Friday's Late Late Show to help raise funds for Daffodil Day.

The twins also sang a moving rendition of Cyndi Lauper’s song True Colours, while urging viewers to give generously to the charity that supports the Irish Cancer Society.

John and Edward, whose mother Susanna died in 2019 from cancer, said: "We just want to thank everyone in the country for donating. It’s such great unity that the country needs, and it’s such a great cause. It’s an exhilarating feeling just to be here.

Edward added: "We’re doing it for you. We’re showing our unity, our solidarity with everyone who has cancer."

"This is the first time we’ve not had this hair since we were Jedward."

As John cut Edward’s hair, they also gave a shout out to Sinead O’Connor and sang the chorus of her number one hit, Nothing Compares 2 U.

"We want to send out love and positivity to everyone with cancer, and let them know they’re not alone," Jedward said.
