Dubliner Curtis Walsh has just released his new single Bend, a duet with British singer-songwriter Anna Pancaldi. We ask him the BIG questions...
Tell us three things about yourself?
One of my favourite things in the world is being on high vantage points.
I wanted to be a boxer instead of a musician for a while when I was in my early teenage years.
Recently during lockdown, I woke up most mornings and blindfolded myself and listened to artists like Jon Hopkins while meditating.
How would you describe your music?
I think as it stands it's very ballad/acoustic-sounding, but I've been really experimenting with new sounds lately so my next batch of songs will be a good distance removed from what I have released to date. I'm really excited about that.

Who are your musical inspirations?
It depends on what I'm looking to be inspired by at a particular time. For example, I'd listen to the likes of Sam Fender, Noel Gallagher and Adele for lyrical inspiration. For the instrumentals of my songs, I'm taking inspiration from the likes of Pink Floyd, Jon Hopkins and Bon Iver. And for melody, I just listen to everything and anything for inspiration.
How are you occupying yourself during the coronavirus lockdown?
I've been really just focusing and honing in on the art of music itself and separating it from the other aspects of a music and performing career and just trying to make some really weird, unique music. And playing PS4!
What's your favourite song right now?
My favourite song that I can't stop listening to at the moment is Crazy by Gnarls Barkley.

Favourite lyric of all time?
My favourite lyric is in the song Half the World Away by Oasis: 'I would like to leave this island and book myself into a soul asylum, because I can feel the warning signs running around my mind.'
If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I'd have to go with Bohemian Rhapsody, just because it's a masterpiece of, like, 10 songs put into one!
