Ed Sheeran celebrated his 30th birthday by teasing fans with a new album later this year.
The singer-songwriter turned the big 3-0 on Wednesday and marked the milestone birthday with a rare Instagram post which hints that he may release a new album later this year.
Alongside a picture of his birthday cake and a photo of himself as a child, dressed as a pirate, he wrote: "30 today. Thank you for all your wonderful messages, I feel very loved."
He went on: "Currently dressed the same as I was on my 3rd birthday about to chow down on Colin the pirate caterpillar (cake), poor bloke," before teasing: "I'll be back online with the 4th instalment in the series later this year, until then xx (sic)."
It is thought that the "fourth instalment in the series" is a follow-up to Sheeran's albums Plus, Multiply, and Divide.
Sheeran also released No.6 Collaborations Project in 2019. He then announced he would take an extended break from the spotlight.
Last year he and his wife Cherry Seaborn welcomed their baby daughter named Lyra Antarctica Seaborn Sheeran.
