EastEnders star Lacey Turner and her husband Matt Kay are celebrating the birth of their second child, a baby boy.

The actress, who plays Stacey Slater in the BBC soap, and Kay told OK! magazine that they are "completely besotted" after their son arrived this week.

It is reported that the baby arrived early, weighing six pounds. A name has not been revealed. The couple are also parents to 18-month-old daughter Dusty.

Last September, Turner announced that she was expecting a "miracle" baby. She had previously suffered two miscarriages, both at seven weeks, before her daughter Dusty was born.

"We feel so lucky to be expecting our second baby, as it took so long to get Dusty," Turner told OK! magazine at the time.

"After last time, we learned the best way was to have the attitude of 'if it happens it happens' - and then it did!" the 32-year-old continued.

"It was a lovely surprise. It took so long with Dusty, but now they're coming along like buses! After the heartbreak we went through, it's a miracle to fall pregnant so quickly."

When asked if she was going to find out the baby's gender, Turner replied: "We're not, as there aren't many surprises in life. I'd love Dusty to have a sister, as I have sisters; but then I'd love her to have a brother, as I didn't have brothers."

"It would be nice to have one of each but I don't really care," added husband Kay. "It's a win-win!"

Turner and Kay met as teenagers and married in 2017.
