A new trailer to Framing Britney Spears, the upcoming documentary about the Free Britney movement, has been released.
The new film from Hulu is part of the streaming service's investigative series, The New York Times Presents, and examines Britney Spears' early career, the controversial conservatorship under her father's control, and the Free Britney movement it inspired.
According to reports, Framing Britney will look at the legal ramifications of her conservatorship, and the control she has lived under for most of her life.
Fans of Spears have been campaigning against the singer’s situation for years, raising awareness of the star's conservatorship situation, and the control it has had on her finances and career.
Spears has put her career on hold while she fights her conservator case and does not appear in the documentary.
Last year, Britney's lawyers argued that the singer "continues to move in the direction of greater autonomy," and would prefer "to work with a corporate fiduciary who can offer both a physical office and a team of independent financial professionals rather than a single individual, hand-picked by her father, who is a complete stranger to her."

Her father has been her conservator since 2008, after the role was appointed during Britney's struggle with her mental health.
Such rulings are reserved for people who cannot manage their own lives due to physical or mental limitations. According to legal documents, the singer agrees that a conservator should be appointed, she just doesn't want her father to be it.
Framing Britney Spears will be released on February 5th.
