The creator of hit Netflix series Bridgerton has said that there is potential for eight seasons of the regency drama as there are eight siblings in the Bridgerton brood.
The series is based on the romance novels of Julia Quinn and it charts the romantic entanglements of a family navigating the marriage market in Britain’s Regency era.
Speaking to Esquire magazine. producer and screenwriter Chris Van Dusen said there is still so much to explore with the hit series, which was streamed by 63 million people in its first month.
Van Dusen said: "I always refer to this first season of the show as ‘The Education of Daphne Bridgerton.’ She starts out as this picture-perfect, wide-eyed, innocent debutante, but soon transforms into something else entirely."
Speaking to online entertainment site Collider, the producer also said: "This being a family of eight children and there being eight books, I would love to be able to focus and really tell stories and love stories for all the Bridgerton siblings."
