The death has been announced of Mark Keds, the singer-guitarist with acclaimed British pop punk band Senseless Things. He was 50.
A cause of death has yet to be confirmed.
Keds' - real name Mark Myers - passing was announced by Senseless Things guitarist Ben Harding on Facebook.
"Dear Friends, It is with the heaviest of hearts that we have to tell you that, sadly, Mark - our singer, friend and main songwriter - is no longer with us," he wrote.
"We understand that he passed away at his home during the early hours of this morning. As yet, the cause of death is unconfirmed.
"It's no secret that he had struggled on and off with drug abuse and a pretty chaotic lifestyle for a long while, and his health suffered substantially over the years due to this.
"While this had sometimes created friction within the on-off workings of Senseless Things and his other projects, we choose to remember the friend, the brother and the talent we've lost today."
"We love you, Mark," Harding continued. "It seems cliched to say 'gone too soon', but damn, it's true. He was only 50... Our love and thoughts go out to his friends, his family, his loved ones and the ones who loved him."
Formed in London in 1986, Senseless Things released four albums and were regular visitors to Ireland in the early 1990s before their split in 1995.
As with many influential pop punk acts from the US, the British quartet missed out on the major commercial success that the likes of Green Day and Blink-182 would enjoy.

Keds went on to briefly be a member of The Wildhearts and also fronted his own bands, including Jolt, Trip Fontaine, The Lams and, more recently, Deadcuts. He co-wrote The Libertines' 2004 hit Can't Stand Me Now, on which he was credited as Mark Hammerton.
Senseless Things - completed by bassist Morgan Nicholls and drummer Cass Browne - reunited for shows in 2017, releasing their first new material in 22 years, the track Lost Honey.
