Filming of Britain's Got Talent, which was due to begin filming later this month, has been postponed because of the pandemic.
A spokesperson of the popular ITV show said: "The filming for the 15th series of Britain’s Got Talent has been postponed from its proposed record dates in late January.
"With the announcement of the latest Government health guidelines and with our priority of safeguarding the well-being of everyone involved in our programmes we, together with the production teams at Thames and Syco, have taken the decision to move the record and broadcast of the forthcoming series.
"We will confirm the revised dates in due course."
It is understood the move came because coronavirus made the filming of the audition shows, which involve hundreds of people, unviable amid the pandemic
In August, Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly revealed that they nearly quit Britain's Got Talent as they felt they were being edited out of the programme.
