The death has been confirmed of Tanya Roberts, the American actress best known for her roles in the sitcom That '70s Show and the James Bond adventure A View to a Kill. She was 65 and had collapsed in Los Angeles on Christmas Eve.
Roberts' passing had been prematurely announced by her agent Mike Pingel on Sunday night. He later told the AFP news agency that the announcement was the result of a "miscommunication" with Roberts' partner Lance O'Brien, and that she was in a "critical" condition in Los Angeles' Cedars-Sinai hospital.
The New York Times reports that Roberts' death was confirmed by O'Brien on Tuesday.
In a statement, Pingel also said: "With a heavy heart I can confirm the death of Tanya Roberts last night on January 4, 2021 around 9:30pm PT at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.
He said the cause of death "was from a urinary tract infection which spread to her kidney, gallbladder, liver and then bloodstream".

Born Victoria Leigh Blum, New Yorker Roberts worked as a model before her acting break in the 1970s horror Forced Entry aka The Last Victim.
Her other credits included the cult films The Beastmaster and Sheena: Queen of the Jungle. Her best-known film role was as geologist Stacey Sutton opposite Roger Moore in A View to a Kill - Moore's final Bond film in 1985.
Roberts, who starred in the last season of Charlie's Angels in 1980, went on to enjoy small screen success as Midge Pinciotti in That '70s Show from 1998 to 2004.
