28 years after its original launch, A Woman’s Heart is to be released on vinyl for the first time along with the airing of a new feature length documentary on RTÉ television.

Leading Irish artists Mary and Frances Black, Maura O’Connell, Eleanor McEvoy, Dolores Keane and Sharon Shannon collaborated on the album, which remains the bestselling Irish LP of all time.

The new film, which airs on RTÉ One on December 27th, will explore the profound effect the record’s success had on Irish people, particularly women. It also includes interviews with the artists involved and focuses on the impact this phenomenon had on their personal lives and professional careers.
