Britain's Duke and Duchess of Sussex have agreed a multi-year deal with streaming giant Spotify to host and produce podcasts.
Entertainment trade website The Hollywood Reporter says the venture, through Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's production company Archewell Audio, will begin later this month with a Christmas special featuring inspirational stories. A full podcast series is expected next year.
In a statement, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said: "What we love about podcasting is that it reminds all of us to take a moment and to really listen, to connect to one another without distraction.
"With the challenges of 2020, there has never been a more important time to do so, because when we hear each other, and hear each other's stories, we are reminded of how interconnected we all are."
Spotify's Chief Content and Advertising Business Officer Dawn Ostroff said the royal couple would be "seeking to elevate underrepresented voices" through "their status as citizens of the world".
In September, it was announced that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had agreed a multi-year Netflix deal for scripted and unscripted television series, documentaries, films and children's content.
