The band KISS has announced a string of major European dates for their End Of The Road tour, part of a proposed 150-city jaunt around the world, according to singer Gene Simmons.

"We've already booked Europe outdoors," the flamboyant front-man and bass-player told 95.5 KLOS. "Most of the shows have already sold out. We start in summer.

"The vaccines are gonna be out there for everybody, oh, by January, February, March at the latest, but we’re gonna be out there a few months after that. And we’ve literally got 150 cities booked."

The European dates begin on June 2, in Antwerp, followed by an appearance at the Download festival in Derby, England on June 4. The tour continues throughout the summer in cities such as Prague, Budapest, Madrid, Barcelona, Verona, Nimes, Frankfurt, Gothenburg, Zurich and Stuttgart, before hitting the US on August 18, beginning in Montana.

On October 23, the band play the final gig of their present leg in Buenos Aires, Argentina, having played a number of dates in Brazil as well as Lima, Bogotá and Santiago de Chile.

Simmons - who was born Chaim Witz in 1949 in Haifa to Jewish emigrants from Hungary - hinted at a never-ending farewell tour when he asked: 'who knows how long?’

"But some of the later ones are gonna be jaw-dropping," he said, as reported by Kerrang! "You can’t imagine what we’ve got planned - like, beyond…

"I said, ‘No. We can really do that?’ They said, ‘Yup. Yup.’ The political people said we can play there. And so there’s gonna be stuff that’s just gonna make you go, ‘That’s the coolest.’

"There’s one place that’s the coldest place on earth," Gene mentioned, without being specific. "And if you can imagine us playing there with even larger pyro than you’ve ever seen, ’cause there’s nothing around there. But that’s all I’ll say about it."

KISS have released 44 albums and sold in excess of 100 million albums worldwide. The band is dedicated to helping a number of war veteran organisations such as The Wounded Warriors Project, The Legacy Organization in Australia, Help For Heroes (UK) and The Dr. Pepper Snapple Groups Wounded Warriors Support Foundations.
