Jared Leto will reprise his role as the Joker in Zack Synder's cut of Justice League.
The director will release his cut of the film on HBO Max next year through a four-episode series.
Synder had to step away from filming the 2017 blockbuster following the death of his daughter, and was replaced by Joss Whedon.
Snyder has now enlisted Suicide Squad star Leto to play the Joker in his version of the film, according to reports on Deadline.com.
It is unknown how large a part Leto’s Joker will have to play.
Superman star Henry Cavill previously said he is curious to see how Synder’s version of the film will look.
"Obviously I don't know how things are going to evolve and change and adapt depending on now a different length of movie and whatever may happen in post-production," he said.
"Whatever lessons may be learned from, what is it, four years since Justice League came out? Four years' worth of fan reaction. For me... I'm now just watching the party."
