Singer, songwriter and producer Delush recently released his new single, Lean on It. We ask him the BIG questions...

Tell us three things about yourself?
My purpose in this life is to create beautiful things and elevate consciousness but not to be a preachy ****** while doing so.
I try to love everyone, tell the truth, and have a great time.
I'm building Welcome to the New World, a conscious collective/movement/media company.

How would you describe your music?
Soulful, expressive, lush, playful. The best; better than all the rest. Better than anyone; anyone I ever met. And healing. Humble also.

Who are your musical inspirations?
Freddie Mercury, Sufjan Stevens, Frank Ocean, the way birds sing together - and people who listen to their headphones too loud on the bus.

How did you occupy yourself during the coronavirus lockdown?
I held an occupy myself event down in Clare. I went to my grandfather's old house in Kilfenora before lockdown, so when the rules came in I had to stay down there for three months, which was beautiful. It was sometimes very isolated. It was also life-changing. As a kid, I didn't really have a feel for the land or how it must be to live there and raise a family there. But now I do, which was very special. The remoteness and the proximity of the stars, the birds, the hills, the nature - I love it. I created a lot of new music and reflected a lot. It was a very special time and a lot of music will come from that.

What's your favourite song right now?
I don't really listen to much music right now, but I'm enjoying Burna Boy - Ye; a song about making it through the struggles of criticism.

Favourite lyric of all time?
Fourth of July by Sufjan Stevens. I think he's the most beautiful musical artist I love.

If you could only listen to one song for the rest of your life what would it be?
Self Control by Frank Ocean, just love that part when the harmonies come in. Man! That or the soundtrack song to The Sunday Game.

Where can people find your music/more information?
