Man of a thousand faces (ok, quite a few) Jim Carrey has debuted his impression of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden on Saturday Night Live.
The long-running sketch show has revealed a first look at The Mask star as Joe Biden in a promo clip that shows him in a white-hair wig, Converse shoes and aviator sunglasses.
The short video begins with a shot of a costume rack, before cutting to a close-up of a wig being secured to Carrey's scalp.
The actor and comedian is then joined by Maya Rudolph, who also gets into costume for her turn as Biden's running mate Kamala Harris.
Rudolph has already played Harris on the comedy show during the Democratic primary debates.
"Jim Carrey is going to do Biden," SNL executive producer Lorne Michaels said in an interview in September. "There was some interest on his part. And then we responded, obviously, positively.
"He will give the part energy and strength. Hopefully it's funny."
The 46th season of the comedy show airs in the US on Saturday night. It returns after the coronavirus pandemic forced the show to take a break during the last season.
