Father of the Bride fans have hailed Friday's virtual cast reunion as "flawless" and "everything 2020 needed".

The much-loved cast including Diane Keaton, Steve Martin, Kieran Culkin, Kimberly Williams-Paisley, Martin Short and George Newbern came together for a special ''Part 3(ish),'' of the hit '90s family movie, written and directed by Nancy Meyers.

Ben Platt and Florence Pugh made a welcome appearance as the now grown-up babies from 1995's Father of the Bride Part II, while Robert De Niro provided a hilarious cameo.

The short but sweet reunion aired on Netflix's YouTube channel and was introduced by Reese Witherspoon, with money raised going towards the World Central Kitchen.

One viewer said the YouTube video was "the best" 30 minutes of her week, while another fan said they found themselves "smiling-crying-laughing" throughout the video.

Abigail Marie said the Zoom outing was "perfect and everything I needed right now".

Jade Clark said she got emotional hearing the familiar theme tune to the movie and said her "eyes are streaming".

Another viewer credited the short film as being "precious" and said it was "so special for my family" who "can't stop crying".
