Actress Lily Collins has announced her engagement to director Charlie McDowell.
The 31-year-old Les Miserables star, who is the daughter of musician Phil Collins, took to Instagram to share the happy news.
Posting a series of pictures of the moment they became engaged, Collins said, "I've been waiting my lifetime for you and I can’t wat to spend our lifetime together…"
In the first image they newly engaged couple share a kiss while Collins holds her hand towards the camera to show off her engagement ring.
The second image shows McDowell, who is the son of actors Malcolm McDowell and Mary Steenburgen, down on one knee, and the third is a close-up shot of the ring.
McDowell also took to his Instagram to mark the moment, captioning a picture of Collins smiling, "In a time of uncertainty and darkness you have illuminated my life. I will forever cherish my adventure with you. 💍🎉"
