Music quiz show Never Mind The Buzzcocks is set to return to television after five years off air.

The show ran on BBC Two for 18 years with team captains Phill Jupitus, Bill Bailey and Simon Amstell as host and is now being revived for Sky One, according to the British Comedy Guide.

No details of new panellists and host have emerged but it is understood that changes have been made to be format.

The panel show first aired on BBC Two for 28 series between 1996 and 2015, when it was cancelled in order to "create space for new entertainment formats".

Mark Lamarr was the original host, followed by Amstell, and a number of guest presenters, before Rhod Gilbert took over the final series. Jupitus was a team captain for the entirety of its 18-year run, competing against the late Irish comedian Sean Hughes, Bill Bailey and Noel Fielding.
