Strictly Come Dancing has cancelled its annual trip to Blackpool for the BBC One show's Tower Ballroom special due to the Covid-19 emergency.
Mail Online reports that the iconic venue will instead be celebrated in the new series from Strictly's home base at Elstree Studios in North London.
A BBC spokesperson said: "Blackpool is a milestone moment in every series of Strictly that our audience, our celebs and professional dancers look forward to.
"Whilst we'll be unable to physically go to Blackpool this series, we'll still be celebrating this iconic venue and bringing it to life from our studio in Elstree."
The full celebrity line-up for this year's show was confirmed last week. Singer and YouTube star HRVY, comedian Bill Bailey, EastEnders' Maisie Smith, former boyband star Max George, boxer Nicola Adams, TV presenter JJ Chalmers, Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh, DJ Clara Amfo, former NFL player Jason Bell, ex-politician Jacqui Smith, Men Behaving Badly star Caroline Quentin and reality star Jamie Laing are all taking part.
