Former Republic of Ireland footballer Kevin Kilbane has wed Canadian figure skater Brianne Delcourt after they began a romance while they were partnered on the UK's Dancing on Ice last year.
They became a couple in December and became engaged two months later after being eliminated from the show, with Kevin popping the question at a restaurant in London.
The newly-weds both shared an Instagram post of a black and white photograph of themselves kissing in their wedding outfits.
The couple had planned to tie the knot with a big wedding in Ireland on Friday, surrounded by family and friends, but due to Covid-19 restrictions they were forced to stage a smaller and more intimate ceremony at Bonnie View Inn in Canada.
In her Instagram post, Brianne (39) said "So, today was the day Kevin & I were supposed to be getting married in Ireland 🇮🇪 09-04-2020. Damn you Covid..., so we celebrated our way .......❤️."
Retired Everton player Kevin (41) also posted about the announcement on his Instagram, saying "We celebrated our proposed wedding day anyway.. I love you @brianne_tv."
Speaking to Hello magazine earlier this year, Brianne said: "We wake up every day and say how blessed we feel. I feel like I have known Kevin forever. I wish I had met him 20 years ago.'
Kevin added: "Over the next month we are going there to introduce Brianne to my family, and to look at venues. We are going to set a date for September or October.'
Kevin has two daughters, 16-year-old Elsie and 14-year-old Isla, with his ex-wife Laura, who he split with in 2011 after 12 years of marriage.
Brianne has a three-year-old daughter named Gracie with an unnamed ex, reports The Daily Mail.
