With filming halted on The Batman after star Robert Pattinson reportedly tested positive for Covid-19, the CEO of studio Warner Bros has said it was "very much ready" for a cast or crew member testing positive on one of its productions.
Ann Sarnoff made her comments in an interview with industry publication The Hollywood Reporter but did not confirm that the person who had tested positive was Pattinson.
"I won't comment on specifics," she said. "We have to protect people's privacy."
On Thursday, a statement issued by Warner Bros to AFP said: "A member of The Batman production has tested positive for Covid-19, and is isolating in accordance with established protocols. Filming is temporarily paused."
The studio did not name the person or indicate when filming would resume.

Vanity Fair magazine, however, said it had confirmed through "highly placed sources" that 34-year-old Pattinson was the person who had tested positive for Covid-19.
When asked whether the halt in filming on The Batman had changed her view on the resumption of productions, Sarnoff said that the studio "never expected things to go completely smoothly".
"In fact, as we've been getting our protocols ready, we built in contingencies," she continued. "If someone tests positive, you do contact tracing, you pause, you evaluate, and come back when you can.
"I think it would have been naïve to think we wouldn't have certain cases on certain productions. The most important thing is to be ready for when that happens. And we were very much ready."
On the likelihood of production returning to normal across the board at some point in the future, Sarnoff replied: "I don't see things material[ly] changing until there is a medical solution, unless we were to reach herd immunity somehow. Instead, we are just proceeding as if there won't be and resuming production as safely as we can."
The Batman, which includes Irish actors Colin Farrell and Barry Keoghan among its cast, is due for release on October 1, 2021.
