There's a documentary looking at the life of Martin McGuinness, Maisie Williams stars in Two Weeks To Live, DNA Caillte looks back at Ireland’s early inhabitants, and there’s the last look Inside Misguided . . .

Pick of the Day

McGuinness, 9.35pm, RTÉ One

Three years on from his death at the age of 66, this new documentary looks at the life and legacy of Martin McGuinness.

The Sinn Féin politician had a remarkable public life that spanned 45 years and brought him from IRA leader to Northern Ireland Deputy First Minister.

At the time of his death three years ago, he was an icon to Republicans whose public profile extended far beyond these shores.

Using rich archive footage and powerful testimony from supporters and critics, this documentary aims to unlock some of the secrets Martin McGuinness brought to his grave.

Don't Miss

Two Weeks To Live, 10.00pm, Sky One & NOW TV

Moving on from the ridiculously over-hyped Game of Thrones, Maisie Williams stars in this Sky original comedy as Kim Stokes, a strange young misfit raised in remote isolation by her survivalist mother Tina (Sian Clifford).

She’s less like a young woman and more like a great white shark who can strip a Smith & Wesson pistol in just six seconds.

Now all grown up, Kim sets out into the real world for the first time on a secret mission. But after encountering hapless brothers Nicky and Jay at their local pub, a seemingly harmless prank sets in motion a series of events that sees them all on the run from murderous gangsters.

Here's my interview with Maisie and co-stars Mawaan Rizwan and Taheen Modak:

New or Returning Shows

Pearson, 11.45pm, RTÉ One

Here’s a spin-off of Suits, the tepid dramedy that gave the world Meghan Markle.

It stars Gina Torres reprising her role of Jessica Pearson as the powerhouse lawyer enters the dirty world of Chicago politics.

Judging by this trailer, it's a vast improvement on Suits and may be worth a watch, even though it got cancelled after just a single season:

Will it be enough to turn the business around?
