Boyzone star Keith Duffy is reportedly in talks to join this year's I'm A Celebrity... which is due to be filmed in Wales instead of the Australian jungle.
The Dublin-born popstar was invited to the join the show earlier this year but turned down the offer because of his touring commitments with his Boyzlife partner, Brian McFadden.
However, now that coronavirus restrictions have delayed the tour until next year, I'm A Celebrity... bosses are eager to get him to take part in this year's show.
The Sun newspaper reports that Duffy had a Zoom meeting with the reality show's booker, and while the colder climes of North Wales are less enticing than sunny down under, a source said the "team are confident they sold it well".
The added: "Keith would make for a brilliant campmate with his celebrity tales and his can-do attitude.
"He's been approached before but the timing has never been right. Everyone hopes that he might take a chance this time around."
This year's series will take place at Gwrych Castle in North Wales after travel restrictions and quarantine rules forced the show to be relocated from its traditional camp in the Australian jungle.
The winning celebrity will be crowned as king or queen of the castle as Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly return to host the 20th series of the hit show.
Series bosses have promised "gruelling trials" which will embrace the medieval theme with jousting, dungeons and fake gallows.
